Longmeadow Evangelical Church

Welcome to the website of Longmeadow Evangelical Church.

Longmeadow is located in the Broadwater estate of Stevenage, is affiliated to the 'Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches' (FIEC), and is a member of 'Churches Together In Stevenage'.

Our aim as a church is to take the gospel of Jesus Christ to our community, to lead men, women and children to repentance and faith in Christ, to their public declaration of faith in baptism, to nurture faith through God's Word, prayer, the Lord's supper and fellowship, and prepare members for Christian service, all in dependence upon the Holy Spirit.

On Sundays we have two morning services (9.30 and 11.30) and an evening service, with Communion each week, either morning or evening. We moved to having two morning services in May 2008, due to continued growth in numbers. Our aim is to plant one of these congregations in a new location as a new church plant, though at present we do not know when or where.
