Prayer

What is prayer all about?

Do we have to use special words?

To answer these questions we're going to spend this half term looking at how Jesus taught his friends to pray. As we read through the prayer that Jesus taught we'll find out more about God, learn why it's important to pray, and discover that praying isn't as difficult or confusing as you might think.

Last half term we learned about how, a bit at a time, Jesus' disciples realised just how special He was. What is it like for us to be disciples though? Do we change when we start following the King?

Jesus; Not Just a Different Birth

We're back after Christmas full of hearing about Angels, Promises, Shepherds, Magi travelling from afar, and a new King being born.

It's very easy to go straight from this miraculous birth to Jesus all grown up, travelling with twelve friends, healing the sick, feeding the hungry and teaching about his coming death.

This half term at BRAG we're going to find out what came after the Christmas story and follow Jesus as he grows up and gets ready to start travelling. We'll find events just as different and remarkable as those around his birth, that go to show Jesus truly is God's son, and the saviour that God had promised.

This half term at BRAG we're turning to John's Gospel to learn about who Jesus is.

The Bible tells us many things about Jesus, but some of the most amazing are the things that Jesus said about himself. In John's Gospel we find a series of statements Jesus made about himself, all beginning with the words "I am". By looking at these statements we're going to find out who Jesus claimed to be, and why that's still important for us.

Jesus said, "I am..."
