Who Is Jesus?

This half term at BRAG we are thinking about who Jesus is.

Jesus is described in lots of different ways in the Bible and sometimes we need a little help to understand what these descriptions mean. How is Jesus a shepherd? Does he look after sheep on a hill somewhere? What does being the Son of God mean? Together we will find out what Jesus is like, and most importantly what knowing about Jesus should mean for us.

Who will be king?

What would you do if you were king of the whole world? Would you ban school? Would there always be jelly for pudding and no vegetables with dinner?

We all love the idea of being in charge of something - even if it's just the TV remote control at home, or what time we have to get out of bed on Sunday mornings. We want to be our own kings.

God's Goodness to Us

God wants good things for us - and He offers good things freely to anyone who will accept them.

This half term we'll be learning about God's goodness to us in stories taken from all over the Bible, and using Psalm 23 (The Lord's My Shepherd) to help us to remember the good things that He offers us.

Prayer

What is prayer all about?

Do we have to use special words?

To answer these questions we're going to spend this half term looking at how Jesus taught his friends to pray. As we read through the prayer that Jesus taught we'll find out more about God, learn why it's important to pray, and discover that praying isn't as difficult or confusing as you might think.
